A revolutionary spirit brought me to the woods of Oregon from the desert of Arizona, via the bustle of California. I think we’d all be better off if we subverted the commercial structure through buying stuff that people make when we buy gifts, and having more real interactions. I love my woods and my hexagon house and my infant Ember. I am away from too many cars and industry, but also people, which I am finding really matters. It is not enough to do your art in the middle of the woods. You need people to see it. I hope this will fix itself in short order. Meanwhile, I have long walks through the forest with my child on my back to keep me company.
